    Dear all

I am new to JCrawler so please bear with me. I have a Joomla site on which I installed JCawler. The install went just fine but when I go to the Components menu and click JCrawler I get an error \"HTTP 500 Internal server error\"

I have installed JCrawler 1.6b already thinking this could solve the issue but no luck.

Any help with what I may be doing wrong would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Oliver

    Hey Oliver,

Do you have access to the server log? Maybe your provider can you give the logfile? There you can find the reason for the error.

Is Curl installed? PHP 4 or PHP 5?

Thanks for the prompt answer. I have PHP 5.2.9-1 installed on a WIndows 2003 host. cURL is an extension on PHP and I do have it enabled or is there anything else I should be aware of?

    Thanks
    Oliver

after further investigation, I actually get the following error description:

PHP Notice: Undefined variable: client in ..\\administrator\\components\\com_jcrawler\\admin.jcrawler.html.php on line 215

    Looking a this particular line:
    <input type=\"hidden\" name=\"client\" value=\"<?php echo $client; ?>\" />

    Any help at all???

    hey Oliver,

ok, so there is no logfile about the errors? like on unix?
Its strange, there is an error before even crawling started....
    Curl has to be enabled.

Maybe i can send you the actual biuld for testing?

I cannot get any information about the error in the IIS logs.

Sure, I can test with the build.

Thanks so much for you assistance.

    Hey Oliver,

I sent you the build days ago. Does it work fine now?
